In the words of Anna Wintour: "If you can't be better than your competition, just dress better".

Ciao for now!

A rare look inside the secretive Met Gala

Usually, the photo stream stops at the carpet, but this year, we're getting a trickle of images coming through from the main event itself.

Take a glimpse yourself.

Who played it safe?

When it comes to fashion, there's nothing worse than playing it safe — never mind at the Met!

And while many celebrities knocked it out of the part, there was a few that didn't exactly turn heads (at least in my opinion).

From Diana Ross to A$AP Rocky, here are the key moments from the Met Gala 2025

From Diana Ross's "very last-minute" show-stopping appearance to the Australian stars on the red carpet, my colleague Mawunyo Gbogbo has you covered.

Read her piece covering all the key moments from the Met Gala below:

Sport stars grace the Met steps

Not only are they total freaks in their respected fields, they also worked the carpet on fashion's biggest night.

My colleague Dannielle Maguire has been hard at work chronicling every look this year at the Met Gala.

Masculinity and gender expression at the Met

This year's theme invited attendees to "get creative" and challenge the standard ideas of gender expression — and plenty of them did just that.

From Lorde's deconstructed suit, to Imaan Hammam in custom Magda Butrym and Walton Goggin's Thom Browne inside-out skirt, I was impressed with the guests who took creative risks and redefined gender norms.

Guest curator Monica L Miller said that while Dandyism could seem frivolous, it often posed a challenge to or a transcendence of social and cultural hierarchies.

"It asks questions about identity, representation and mobility in relation to race, class, gender, sexuality and power."

Australian model commends Met Gala for exploring 'rich history'

Earlier in the year, I spoke to Sydney-based model Samuel Barrie who told the ABC he commended the Met Gala for exploring the "rich history of the sartorial traditions" in this year's theme.

"As a Black male model who crosses traditional conventions on what's ideally masculine or feminine in the conventional sense, it's liberating to feel seen, heard and valued," he said.

The artist, model and actor said his heart was "full of joy" to know that menswear would be on display, especially pulling from the African diaspora.

"The Black man gets a space to assert their identities in fashion," he said.

"I believe there's a cloudy line between embracing and respecting the culture, compared to appropriating without understanding the importance of the history," he said.

But wait, there's more!
