That is all for Miami Grand Prix live blog

Australian Oscar Piastri is on the top step for the fourth time of the six grands prix so far in 2025.

There is a lot of racing left in this season — 18 weekends to be exact — but for now, Piastri has a 16-point lead over teammate Lando Norris in the drivers' championship.

Thank you for joining ABC Sport this morning.

Until next time, goodbye.

Australians waking up to another Oscar win
Oscar shows his dance moves — sort of

So apparently, the Griddy is a dance move.

This blogger is not cool — if anything, I am 5 degrees off cool — and certainly is not "with it".

Piastri put on a little dance move after his win.

Judging by his reaction, the F1 championship leader may also not be "with it".

Oscar Piastri stands on the top step, and the Australian national anthem echoes through Miami.

It is the fourth time Piastri has stood on the top step this season.

His other two results were ninth in Melbourne and third in Japan.

Piastri has the trophy, he has momentum, and he has a 16-point lead with a quarter of the season completed.

Piastri says he still has plenty to learn after fourth grand prix win this season

Oscar Piastri built a big gap in the early stages of the race, when most of the front runners were on the medium-compound tyre.

The Australian held a lead of over nine seconds, but that gradually reduced during the second half of the race when he and Lando Norris were on the hards.

"The hard stint I was struggling a little bit, so there are some things to work on," he says.

"Got to keep learning, but very happy to be leaving Miami on top."

Piastri says he was 'aware' to avoid Verstappen clash

Oscar Piastri was leading the F1 Sprint but was cruelled by an ill-timed safety car.

But 24 hours later, the Australian triumphed in the race that matters most.

"I won the race that I really wanted to — yesterday was tricky.

"Qualifying was one of my trickiest sessions of the year so to come away with the win is an amazing result."

Max Verstappen drove very defensively at the start of the race, desperately trying to fend off the McLarens.

Verstappen was able to fend off Norris, who fell down the order and had his chances of victory ruined.

Piastri says he knew his move on Verstappen into turn one on lap 14 needed to be clean, and it was.

"I was aware enough to avoid Max in turn one, and from then I knew I had a good pace advantage. The car was incredible today."

'I paid the price': Norris reflects on lap one incident

Lando Norris has settled for second, after dropping down to sixth on the first lap.

Norris attempted to pass pole sitter Max Verstappen, but the door shut and he went off track.

"It's never the best feeling [to be P2] but the team has done an amazing job, so I can't fault them at all," Norris says.

"We were up the road, so it is a good feeling.

"Oscar drove well, Max put up a good fight as always, so it is what it is.

"I paid the price for not doing a good enough job today, but still happy to be second."

George Russell happy with third

The podium drivers are speaking after the Miami Grand Prix.

"Really happy to come away with P3 as I have been struggling this weekend, personally," Russell says,

"Well done to the McLaren, they were just too far down the road."

Oscar Piastri extends championship lead to 16 points

The victory for Oscar Piastri is his fourth of the year.

Lando Norris and Max Verstappen have each won a grand prix.

Piastri's lead in the championship has extended to 16 points over teammate Norris.
