Let's wrap up here

Thanks for being with us this evening folks.

What a try that was from Mark Nawaqanitawase.

A genuine show stopper.

But nothing stops these Bulldogs, it seems.

They march on at the Olympic stadium and remain top of the NRL ladder.

We'll be back tomorrow for more NRL action.

Good night.

Mark Nawaqanitawase: "I was obviously lucky with the bounce'

Mark Nawaqanitawase scored one of the great individual tries any of us have ever seen.

Here's how the bashful former Wallaby thought about it.

"I was pretty confident I got it, I was obviously lucky with the bounce," he told ABC Sport.

"Lucky to get the try, but disappointed with the loss."

That wasn't luck, Mark.

Let's watch it again to make sure though.

Nope, definitely not luck.

Viliame knows.

Bulldogs win 'grittiest game'

Lets hear what the pros thought about that game shall we?

Toby Sexton told ABC Sport that the Bulldogs shouldn't keep getting themselves into these positions.

"Yeah, I was just talking to Maxy King, and said, what are we doing to ourselves?" he said.

"We haven't got our first halves right, and we've been down big margins.

"We've gotta stop making so hard for ourselves."

As for Matt Burton, he was just thrilled with the fightback.

"That was one of the grittiest games I've ever played in," he said.

"Our boys just keep turning up. We never go away.

"[I'm] just so proud of these boys, the way we handled it in the second half, it shows what we've got."

FT: Canterbury wins a thriller 24-20

Another stunning comeback from the Bulldogs - what a contest.

The Roosters huffed in that first half, but looked puffed in the second, right up until Mark Nawaqanitawase defied all the agreed laws of physics and biology to score a miracle try.

That reignited the fire in the Roosters play.

But the Bulldogs cannot be denied.

In front of another massive crowd of over 30,000, the Dogs fought back for the second time in a week to claim a memorable victory.

74' MATT BURTON!

The pressure was on, but Matt Burton was superb.

He ran to the line at pace, took a step to upset the line, grubbered the ball towards the in goal and then regathered.

Magical play from Burton.

The Dogs have the lead again!

The kick is good and the lead is 24-20.

72' Nawaqanitawase knocks on again!

He has suddenly become hopeless under the high ball.

The kick from Burton went up - and it's going to continue to go up to his wing - and he leaps far too early and knocks it on.

For some reason he challenges it because he thinks the ball hit his foot, which it did but he wasn't kicking at it so it is still a knock on.

The pressure goes back on the Roosters again.

69' MARK NAWAQANITAWASE SCORES A MIRACLE TRY!

HOW HAS HE DONE THAT!

HOW HAS HE DONE IT!

INCREDIBLE TRY FROM MARK NAWAQANITAWASE!

He got the ball on the right, he ran to the line, bounced off one tackle then, ON ONE FOOT kicked the ball forward to himself, grabbing the ball just as it appeared to be bouncing out in the in goal area and scores.

Insane.

That is just an insane try.

THE KICK IS GOOD!

THE ROOSTERS LEAD 20-18!

64' TRY BULLDOGS!

COMEBACK COMPLETE!

Bronson Xerri bursts through into the backfield, Angus Crichton fell off the tackle, so Xerri leaped back up and planted the ball over the line!

The kick is good from Burton and the score is 18-14!

63' Nawaqanitawase knocks on again!

A spiral bomb of which nightmares are made by Burton!

That ball was swirling and twisting and diving on the winger.

It's knocked on and the Roosters are on the defence again!

60' Radley with the strip!

Incredible! The England international makes up for his error, injustice pounding through his veins, to rip the ball free and give the Roosters a chance.

And now a penalty too! Offside from the Bulldogs.
