That's all from us

Thanks for joining us on what was a big day of footy, with some heavy news off field and emotional storylines throughout.

Take care of yourselves.

We'll see you again tomorrow.

FT: Western Bulldogs 18.19 (127) defeat Essendon 5.6 (36)

That was an absolute demolition job by the Western Bulldogs on Essendon, who collected a whopping percentage boost to go with their four points.

The Dogs kicked a whopping 18 goals to the Bombers' five to claim a 91-point victory.

The game was really over by three-quarter time as the Dogs just took control from the get go.

Rhylee West had a phenomenal game with four goals, while Buku Khamis had three. But it was Bailey Dale that really starred with an almost unbelievable 49 disposals (and 11 score involvements). 54 is the all-time record.

Five minutes left to go

And how's Bailey Dale numbers you ask? He's up to 45 touches with five minutes still to go.

Meanwhile, Zach Merrett had a set shot... it went out on the full. Then Peter Wright had a turn but his sailed through for a behind.

Dogs up by 90.

Could the Dogs win by over 100 points?

It's looking more and more likely. Buku Khamis has put through his third goal of the night to make it a 90-point margin with nine minutes left to go.

And yep, the Dogs have all the momentum.

Khamis gets his second

This game may have been won by quarter-time but the Bulldogs fan base are still cheering loud for every goal, which is giving a lot of meaning to the majors in this already wrapped-up match.

Buku Khamis got his second and the drums beat loudly for him. It brings the Dogs score up to 117 with a 83-point lead.

How many touches can Dale get?

Peter Wright has kicked one for the Bombers, his first of the night six and Essendon's fifth six minutes into the final term.

Meanwhile, it's disposal watch on Bulldog Bailey Dale who has already broken his career-high game count and currently is on 41 touches.

A moment that summed up the game

That was absolutely brutal - and beautiful - from Rhylee West.

Archie Roberts tried to tackle West but just hit the deck as the Dogs player shirked him off (threw him to the ground) and then snapped a goal.

Here's the vision:

3QT: Western Bulldogs 15.13 (103) leads Essendon 4.4 (28)

Hard to tell who is going to win from here. Bulldogs up by just a handy 75-points at the final change.

Tim English almost added his name to the goalkickers list with a set shot as the siren sounded, but his kick hit the post.

The behind adding an extra point to the feast for the Bulldogs, as they have kicked a whopping 15 goals to Essendon's four.

Bailey Dale is having quite the night, already up to 39 touches, while Tom Liberatore is second in disposals with 29.

Bulldogs break the 100

Bailey Williams has put through his first of the evening to bring the Bulldogs' score up to 102 with a minute left in the third quarter.

It extends the Dogs' margin back out to 74 points.

Bombers get two back

"Will this be the greatest come back in AFL history?," someone quipped in the press box.

Essendon doubled their number of goals within minutes after Archie Perkins and Sam Durham get two back for the Bombers. That brings Essendon's goal haul up to four.

Now they just trail by 67-points on the cusp of three-quarter time.
