Hearing from you

Here in Port Macquarie it’s looking better than yesterday. 200mm+ yesterday, but today’s been a constant drizzle (about 50mm since 9am). Even though there’s less rain, the roads are flooded and our only road to the airport is under water. Surprised there’s no evacuation centres opened here yet. Hope everyone stays safe!

I live between Taree and Wingham in a place called Tinonee, on the Manning River. The river has burst its banks where we are, and now I cannot see where the bank of the river used to be. The roads are cut off from Taree and Wingham. A few hours ago, one road in Tinonee was flooded. I have plenty of supplies, so should ride this out. I'm worried about low lying areas in and around the area. The situation is changing quickly, one hour you can see the difference in the flooding. And it's bucketing it down still. The rain is torrential
