That is all for the F1 blog

The 10th grand prix of the year has provided this season's most significant flashpoint to date.

Lando Norris crashed into Oscar Piastri. It was said a fight between the McLaren teammates was "inevitable", and that prophecy came true.

Norris scored no points, while Piastri survived the shunt to finish fourth.

The Australian now leads the drivers' championship by 22 points.

That is where ABC Sport will end the blog this morning.

A great win for Mercedes driver George Russell. A solid outing for Oscar Piastri. And Max Verstappen is still lurking in the championship battle.

ABC Sport will have a live blog of round 11 at the Austrian Grand Prix.

McLaren team principal on the crash between his cars

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella has spoken after his cars collided with each other in Montreal.

Stella described the crash as a "misjudgement" from Lando Norris.

"We never want to see a McLaren involved in an accident, and definitely we never want to see the two McLarens touching each other," he told UK broadcaster Sky Sports.

"We need to review, as this is a clear principle, at the same time, it is an incident from a misjudgement. Lando misjudged the distance to the car ahead and owned it immediately, which we appreciate.

"Our drivers will learn, and we go racing again. It is a misjudgement that cost Lando quite a lot in the championship."

Oscar Piastri reflects on the late crash with Lando Norris

Oscar Piastri has just spoken to UK broadcaster Sky Sports after being hit by Lando Norris.

"Obviously it is not ideal for anyone, but I haven't seen the incident, so I don't know exactly what happened. If Lando has taken full responsibility, that's how it goes, I guess. A tricky race in general, and a not ideal finish," he said.

"He made a large move into turn 10, held my own into the chicane. It was a tough battle, but a clean one, and I think it was just unfortunate, really.

"We are both fighting for a world championship, and I am thankful to the team that they allow us to race and I don't expect anything to change on that."

Lando Norris speaks to media, and apologises to his team

Lando Norris is now 22 points adrift of Oscar Piastri after crashing into his teammate late in the Canadian Grand Prix.

Norris has just spoken to UK broadcaster Sky Sports.

"No-one to blame but myself, so I apologise to the whole team, and to Oscar as well for attempting something probably a bit too silly."

Kimi Antonelli speaks after achieving his first F1 podium

At just 18 years of age, Italian Kimi Antonelli is the latest to achieve a podium in Formula 1.

"I mean, it was so stressful, but super happy," Antonelli said.

"I had a good start, managed to jump into P3 and managed to stay there.

"In the last stint, I pushed a bit too hard, killed the front left, so I was happy to bring the podium home."

Max Verstappen pleased with his drive today

Red Bull's defending world champion Max Verstappen is a pleased man.

He said second-place was the best he could achieve today.

"Was quite a good race, even though in the first two stints we were struggling with the tyres," Verstappen says.

"We hung in there in the final stint, and the tyres were better under lower fuel loads. That was the maximum we could have achieved today."

George Russell speaks after winning in Canada

George Russell has spoken after winning the Canadian Grand Prix.

"It is amazing to be back on the top step. To get the victory and see Kimi [Antonelli] on the podium too is an amazing day for the team," Russell says.

"I think the strength of our car is in the cooler conditions, so let's see in the coming races, but let's enjoy this for now. Good day, good day."
