Well, that was a big night of boxing over in the States, and a momentous one for Australian boxing too, but perhaps not in the way we hoped.

"I knew that I had to try to step it up to really try to solidify a win," he says.

So, will there be a rematch?

"Absolutely This was huge. I'd love to do it again."

Manny Pacquiao says that he will fight again.

"I think so, God willing," he said.

"It's the legacy that I can leave behind for the Filipino people."

Manny Pacquiao is speaking now.

"I thought I won the fight. It was a close fight, but I thought I did enough," he says.

"I have to find a way to finish the fight, but my opponent was so tough, he's not careless, he threw punches in combination, his defence.

"It's inspiration to old boxers. If you have discipline and hard work you can still fight."

First judge has it 115-113 to Barrios

The other judges have it 114-114.

Barrios won the 12th on all three scorecards to retain his title.

It was so close and I have no issue with those cards, although the crowd is not best pleased.

This could genuinely go either way.

I have Barrios winning 116-112, but there were some very close rounds in amongst them.

Has the pro-Pacquiao crowd got the Filipino challenger home?

This will go to the scorecards and I genuinely don't know which way it will go.

Both men will feel they need to win this round.

Pacquiao tries to jab but has his punch stopped by the flashing glove of Barrios.

Pacquiao comes forward but nothing lands.

The crowd is all of a sudden a bit quiet.

Pacquiao lands on the glove of Barrios, who responds with a solid shot of his own.

Barrios was also told to let his hands go, and he lands with a brilliant shot to the chin! Great shot from Barrios.

The PBC commentators have Pacquiao winning the last couple of rounds and said that one was open for stealing at the end, but I think Barrios has done well in the 10th and 11th, the 11th being a clear win for the American.

With three rounds remaining, I have Barrios ahead by just a single round.

This is still all to play for.

There is a delay in the Pacquiao corner as the tape on the glove needs sorting. A bit of an extra breather for Pacquiao, which I'm sure was not intentional at all...

Barrios did get a shot away there though.

Pacquiao lands with a couple - and then charges in to get the crowd roaring once more.

I still think Barrios won that round.

Pacquiao goes well on the counter though! Landing with some really solid shots!

Pacquiao has the endurance it seems - he still looks good.

There have been some close rounds in this fight and, with the crowd, who knows which way the judges are going?

In tight, Pacquiao again manages to get a shot away that just tickles the head of Barrios.

Barrios looks a bit laboured, not sharp coming in.
