Acting Assistant Commissioner James from the Australian Federal Police has finished speaking for the day.
Speaking on concern that the man was able to work at so many centres over the years, Acting Assistant Commissioner James said police are only looking at the criminality at hand.
"I think what you'll find is some of the centres he might have worked one shift, some centres he might have worked at a lot of shifts."
Acting Assistant Commissioner James said generally, people who produce child abuse material "look at the material for their own personal gain".
"But what they're doing is preying on vulnerable young people in our community," he said.
"We're absolutely dedicated to protecting these young people and bring those pedophiles to justice."
The AFP are investigating if and how far the material was distributed.
"Obviously we started on the dark web and we'll continue to ... collect evidence through this process and put it before the courts," Acting Assistant Commissioner James has said.
The child abuse material that he was charged [over] was only 10 victims, Acting Assistant Commissioner James has said.
"I'm not going to go into the detail of that material just out of respect for the victims," he said.
"Paedophiles seem to think they can work under the cover of encryption on the dark web," the acting assistant commissioner said.
"The AFP can see you. We are working diligently to ensure ... we're coming after you."
Acting Assistant Commissioner James said the man was accredited to work with children.
"My understanding is he did have accreditation," he said.
But he added police worked with the Office of the Children's Guardian to get his working with children certification taken away.
"Comprehensive enquiries by police so far have found no evidence to suggest any alleged offending took place at the remaining 52 centres," Acting Assistant Commissioner James emphasised.
The AFP have said a website has been set up listing all 58 locations where the man had been employed between March 2018 and September 2024.
This is the second phase of the investigation, and includes tips for talking to your child, impacted centres and dates, support services and relevant contact and reporting details.

Letters were sent to the parents, carers and operators at the six centres where the man allegedly produced the child abuse material, the AFP said.
A hotline for concerned parents and carers was also established.
