That is all for the live blog tonight

This is where we will end tonight's live coverage of the F1 Singapore Grand Prix.

There was plenty of drama from the opening lap, and there is plenty more in the fallout.

Oscar Piastri's lead is 22 points over Lando Norris, and 63 points over Max Verstappen.

There are six grands prix and three sprint races left in the season.

We hope you join us in a fortnight for the United States Grand Prix.

Until then, goodnight.

McLaren CEO calls Norris-Piastri incident 'hard racing'

McLaren CEO Zak Brown is speaking to Sky Sports F1, after his team secured the constructors' championship.

But there is a lot of talk about the contact between his two drivers on the first lap.

Brown has no issue with it, and described it as "hard racing".

"Like all race weekends, you review everything. First corner, it looks like Max and Lando either touched or had to check-up, and so it was clearly an exciting turn [three] incident," Brown said.

"Racing. Tough racing. But when you have three or four cars all stacked up, that's going to happen every once in a while.

"We'll look at it all in more depth on Monday, but clearly, just hard racing."

Oscar Piastri's thoughts after the Singapore Grand Prix

Oscar Piastri has spoken to Sky Sports F1.

He was asked about the turn one contact between him and teammate Lando Norris.

Piastri appears to have calmed down, a bit.

"Obviously, a difficult race. A difficult first lap," Piastri said.

"I've not seen the replay, just know from in-car, so I'll go have a look.

"I don't think there was any intention of contact, but there was. Again, I need to look at the replay and see exactly what happened."

The Australian crashed out of the previous race, and now lost a few more points to his title rivals.

He was asked how he regroups for the final six races of the season.

"Just take the learnings from this weekend and see what can be improved. The weekend as a whole was generally pretty good. Practice went well, qualifying went well. The race — maybe a little bit slow to get going."

Lando Norris says first lap scuffle was 'racing'

Lando Norris made contact with the rear of Max Verstappen's Red Bull, then the side of his teammate's McLaren.

The Brit said there was nothing in either moment.

"[Lap 1] It was slippery, so wet in lots of places. It is racing, I put it on the inside, had a little correction and yeah, that's it."

Max Verstappen says second was a 'maximum result'

Max Verstappen defended magnificently to secure second place in Singapore.

Red Bull put soft tyres on Verstappen's car to start the race, but it was not enough for the Dutchman to take the lead.

"The track only just got dry, so we opted to try something different. It didn't work out," Verstappen said.

"The whole race was quite difficult for a few different reasons so we need to understand what went wrong today.

"For us, second was the maximum result."

George Russell thrilled with win in Singapore

Here are the thoughts of George Russell after winning the Singapore Grand Prix.

"So grateful to the team who did an amazing job all weekend. So happy."

Lewis Hamilton to be investigated after the race for exceeding track limits

Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton finished seventh, but he could lose that.

He was nursing faulty brakes at the end of the race, and he went off track multiple times in the final couple of laps.

Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso finished four-tenths behind Hamilton, after being close to 40 seconds behind with a couple of laps to go.

If Hamilton is handed a five-second penalty, he will be demoted to eighth.

Oscar Piastri's championship lead shrinks

Oscar Piastri came into tonight's race with a 25-point lead over Lando Norris, and a 69-point advantage over Max Verstappen.

That has now been reduced.

Piastri's gap to Lando Norris is 22 points, and his advantage over Verstappen is 63 points.

McLaren wins the F1 constructors' championship

McLaren has won the F1 constructors' championship for a second year running.

They have won with six rounds left in the season.

It is the first time McLaren has won consecutive constructors' titles since a string of four in a row from 1988-1991.

George Russell wins F1 Singapore Grand Prix for Mercedes

George Russell has converted pole position into victory at Singapore.

Max Verstappen holds on for second.

Lando Norris is third, and Oscar Piastri is fourth.
