Thank you and goodbye!

That's all for the 68th annual Grammy awards!

It was full of showstopping performances, iconic tributes, historic wins and maybe just one gaff from Cher (she's ALLOWED).

From Al and myself, thank you so much for joining us for this year's Grammy awards live blog, it's been an absolute blast.

You can dive a bit deeper into the night's biggest moments here.

Until next year!

Double duty for Kehlani

Yes! The R&B star picked up two Grammys, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance at the non-televised Premiere Ceremony.

They were both for Folded so you obviously have good taste.

Thanks for joining us!

Well, another round of golden gramophones done and dusted.

So, what stood out? Firstly, as anticipated, the performances - they always do to my mind. And particularly enjoyed Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, the D'Angelo tribute and Bieber's bold solo swing in boxer shorts.

Also, it seems the past few years have been defined by how much (or how little) current political events make an appearance, so it was heartening to see Trevor Noah acknowledge it from the jump, only for artists from Olivia Dean to Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, explicitly address or condemn ICE in their speeches.

The Grammys don't always get it right, but when they do - like the Bad Bunny Album of the Year win - it kinda makes a lot of the waffle feel worthwhile.

Or maybe I'm delirious from another six-hour live blogging marathon. Thanks to my fellow sprinter, Velvet Winter. And see y'all at the next big culture write-up!

Spielberg officially an EGOT

There were some rumblings of this earlier today, Sandy, yes, we can confirm Steven Spielberg is an EGOT winner.

That's Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony for those playing at home. Only a small handful of artists have achieved the feat, and now with a Grammy win under his belt for Best Music Film for his producing role on the documentary Music By John Williams, legendary director Steven Spielberg has joined the club!

Spielberg already has four Emmys, a Tony, three Oscars, and now a single Grammy.

Although it's now firmly embedded in awards season culture, the EGOT is not an official award handed out by anybody.

The term was thought to be coined in 1984 by actor Philip Michael Thomas, who, at the time, had just been cast as Detective Ricardo Tubbs on Miami Vice.

Then in 2009, the term received a boost in popularity thanks to a 30 Rock episode that featured character Tracy Jordan trying to achieve EGOT status.

Who won the most Grammys today?

As he did last year, Kendrick Lamar leads the final tally with five total wins from a nominated nine categories. That brings his Grammys career to 26 total!

It was also a big night for Lady Gaga (who has 16 Grammys now) and Bad Bunny (6 total), who made history by becoming the first Spanish-language winner of Album of the Year.

Here's the multiple award winners that we've tallied:

  • 5 wins: Kendrick Lamar
  • 3 wins: Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny
  • 2 wins: Turnstile, Kehlani, The Cure, Mavis Staples and Sinners (Best Score and Best Compilation Soundtrack)
One for the rockers!

Has Turnstile been up yet? Heard they were nominated for a stack of categories - Andrew

Apologies for not getting to you sooner, Andrew and Brendan!

Turnstile won two Grammys today - one for Best Rock Album for Never Enough and one for Best Metal Performance for Birds.

You wouldn't have seen them on TV, though; both awards were given at the Premiere Ceremony before the main event ... as were all of the rock categories.

Wow! What a ceremony!

That seemed even faster than previous years!

What a jam-packed ceremony, capped off with a very well-deserved win for Bad Bunny there.

We're gonna stick around for a little longer and we want to hear from you! What did you love? What did you hate?

Our comments are open!

'Muchas gracias' Bad Bunny marks historic win

The moment he was announced as Album of the Year winner, Bad Bunny took a few moments at his table, holding back the tears before heading to the podium.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos becomes the first Spanish-language record to win Album of the Year at the Grammys. The importance isn't lost on Bad Bunny.

He gives his acceptance speech almost entirely in Spanish, thanking the academy and his family, save for this moment:

"I want to dedicate this award to all the people who had to leave their homeland, their country to follow their dreams."

From headlining the Super Bowl halftime show and becoming one of the most consistently streamed artists worldwide, and his first Australian shows next month, Bad Bunny is certainly living the dream.

Bad Bunny wins Album of the Year
  • Bad Bunny — Debí Tirar Más Fotos — WINNER
  • Justin Bieber — Swag
  • Sabrina Carpenter — Man's Best Friend
  • Clipse, Pusha T & Malice — Let God Sort Em Out
