All lanes are now open on the bridge. Motorists are told to continue to expect some delays in both directions.

Severe gales in parts of Auckland are about to peak as a burst of squally, heavy, showers move through. WSW winds tilt more SW after these showers pass. Another windy day tomorrow in our largest city, but not as windy as today.

Two northbound lanes and one southbound lane are blocked after a crash in the centre lanes. A barrier has been damaged in the crash. There are delays in both directions.

Traffic is banked up 13 km heading north on the motorway, with motorists facing long delays after lanes were closed on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this morning.  

 Delays extend to the Northwestern Motorway as city-bound traffic builds behind jams heading north.
