Thanks for joining us

Both this morning and throughout the tournament. We hope you've enjoyed tuning in, despite the disppointing result for our Ferns.

Ekenasio Breaks Down

Tears flow as the Silver Ferns captain expresses her disappointment after another bad result for her side, but says the support from Ferns fans, especially those who travelled to South Africa, means so much.

"We're really sorry that we couldn't do it. It's really heartbreaking for us to not be able to do it for our country. We're just thankful for the support no matter what."

It's all Over - Jamaica Win Bronze

It's officially the worst ever World Cup result for a New Zealand team as, for the first time, the Silver Ferns leave a tournament without a medal.

It's another impressive performance from Jamaica who thoroughly deserved the result this morning after leading for all but the first few minutes of the match.

1 min to go: Inpenetrable

Jamaica continue to safely make their way down court to score points and deny NZ a chance at breaking back into the match.

4 mins to go: Still No Dice

For the Ferns as, despite admirable efforts to disrupt the Jamaican attack, they simply cannot break it.

7 mins to go: Deadlock Continues

Jamaica safely protect their possessions and their 5-6 point lead as the clock winds down on the Ferns' chances to get back into this match.

10 mins to go: Tit for tat

There's been no breakthrough for the Ferns as far as closing the gap between the sides to begin this quarter. Instead, it's all point for point.

Jamaica in Prime Position

Despite a promising end to the quarter for the Ferns, it is Jamaica that now leads by six points and look most likely to take the bronze medal with 15 mins to play.

NZ will need to start the final quarter with a point-scoring flyer to keep their hopes alive of a strong finish to what has been a hugely disappointing tournament.
